Dr. James Sylora, MD
Founder, Histotripsy Enterprises LLC
Dr. James Sylora is a board-certified urologist in private practice and the founder of Histotripsy Enterprises LLC. Based in Evergreen Park, Illinois, he has dedicated his career to advancing patient care through the thoughtful integration of emerging medical technologies.
As the founder of Associated Urological Specialists, LLC, Dr. Sylora established one of the region’s most innovative urology practices, recognized for its early adoption of advanced diagnostic and surgical systems. He also played a key role in the development of clinical information technologies through his collaboration with Inpracsys, helping modernize how physicians manage and analyze patient data.
A pioneer in the introduction of robotic surgery within urologic practice, Dr. Sylora has continually championed the use of precision technology to improve outcomes and patient experiences. His latest focus is on histotripsy—a breakthrough non-invasive therapeutic ultrasound platform that uses focused acoustic energy to mechanically destroy targeted tissue without heat or radiation.
Through Histotripsy Enterprises, Dr. Sylora is leading efforts to expand access to this transformative therapy by developing a nationwide network of Hope Centers dedicated to offering compassionate, state-of-the-art care for patients with liver and other oncologic diseases.

Attorney Jack Rovner is a founding member of Health Law Consultancy, a Chicago-based boutique health law firm. For decades, Rovner has counseled clients on business strategies, fraud and abuse compliance, antitrust, and government programs relating to the business of health care.
Best Lawyers named Rovner the 2014 Chicago health care law “Lawyer of the Year.” Chambers and Partners, Best Lawyers, Leading Lawyers, and Super Lawyers all list Rovner among the top health lawyers in the United States. Rovner served on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary’s Advisory Committee on Regulatory Reform, the advisory board of the Bloomberg BNA Health Law Reporter, and the editorial board of the American Bar Association The Health Lawyer.
Rovner received his Juris Doctor cum laude, from Boston University School of Law, where he was an articles editor of the Law Review. Rovner served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Coast Guard.
